Pictured above are mending plates in O and HO size.  They are used to help line up pieces of ShelfTrax when joining them end-to-end.  The plates simply attach with 4 screws.

Simply locate your wall studs and transfer these markings to your ShelfTrax.  Drill the appropriate holes with a 5/32nd drill bit and you are ready to mount your ShelfTrax securely to your wall studs with the screws provided.  We drill holes 16" on center from the factory for your added convenience.

Here pictured is a 2' long piece of O gauge ShelfTrax with 25lbs on it.  You will note there is no separation from the wall as long as your screws are tight.  Longer pieces of ShelfTrax are even stronger!  ShelfTrax is capable of supporting more weight but you will not find many die cast O gauge engines heavier than 25lbs.
